Cleaner air for Glover Park

19 July 2009 No Comment

Marietta City Council at their July 8 regular meeting banned smoking at any time in Glover Park on the Marietta Square to protect visitors’ health. Council acted after hearing from citizens concerned about the effects of secondhand smoke at Glover Park concerts.

Marietta’s smoking ban says: “It shall be unlawful for any person to inhale, exhale, burn or carry any lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe, weed, plant or other combustible substance in any manner or form in Glover Park.”
