The Council for Quality and Growth and Greenpoint US is holding a focused half-day seminar offering a broad introduction and background in the sustainablity movement.

A seminar designed for everyone interested in sustainability.
Content based on the USGBC Level 100 Awareness Criteria.
Instructor: Scott Ward, PE, MBA, LEED AP, GreenPoint US.
- a broad introduction and background in the sustainability movement at every level of the community: household, business, neighborhood
and nation; - a discussion of how each of us will be affected by the emerging social, political and economic impacts of sustainability, new roles, jobs and careers;
- a review of existing forces and rating systems in sustainability including components of the Economic Recovery Act, federal agencies, EnergyStar, Green Seal, ASHRAE, ASTM, and more;
- an introduction to the U.S. Green Building Council and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program (LEED) including accreditation and building certification, Version 3 (2009);
- insight into where you fit into the new Green market and how to position yourself to best meet the market as citizens and leaders.
