The 2009 Georgia Solar Festival will kick off on October 2 with Hands On Solar Day, where metro Atlanta students will gather to learn about the next generation of solar power and its potential to transform Georgia’s environment and economy.  On October 3, the Solar Tour will showcase homes and businesses throughout the metro area that rely on clean, alternative energy, inspiring and educating the public about emerging technology and resources to harness the sun.  In conjunction with the Solar Tour, Hotober Fest, powered by GSEA, promises to be a lively event celebrating live music, craft beer and the potential of solar power.

Solar advocates throughout the state committed to bringing jobs and revenue to Georgia through the use of solar as an alternative resource, along with residents and business leadership interested in learning more about solar potential.
