The Georgia Safe Routes to School Resource Center sponsors Georgia Walk to School Day each March. While, schools are encouraged to host their event the first Wednesday in March, they can choose any day in March that best fits their needs.
This year’s state-wide event is Wednesday, March 2. While the events are commonly called, Walk to School Day, the spirit of the event encourages walking or bicycling.
Register your event online and then explore the Web site for ideas and materials for planning and implementing your event.
