21 December 2009 No Comment

Daves Creek Elementary and Reaping Nature Productions received Certificates of Distinguished Service for waste reduction from Keep Georgia Beautiful (KGB) in November.  The KGB Awards Program honors those whose ongoing efforts in community improvement, waste reduction, and/or litter prevention exemplify leadership in protecting Georgia’s environment.

Daves Creek Elementary, in previous years, has been awarded 1st place for Environmental Improvement and 2nd place for Waste Reduction by Keep Georgia Beautiful.  The school is Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB) Gold Green School of the Year, an honor they have been awarded five times.  This is Reaping Nature Productions’ first recognition by KGB for their contributions to protect and preserve the environment.

The KGB mission is to build and support community environmental activities and behaviors resulting in a more beautiful Georgia. The Awards Program is based on the belief that positive reinforcement of hardworking and deserving individuals advances KGB’s mission and is a key way to create sustainable communities.
