Summer Harvest  with Slow Food Atlanta and Le Cordon Bleu

The “rain or shine” festival is open and free to the public and will include a farmers market with celebrity chef demos, including Linton Hopkins from Restaurant Eugene, Kevin Gillespie from Woodfire Grill, Hector Santiago from Pura Vida, Butch Raphael from Whole Foods Market, Chinese Southern Belles and Cathy Conway from Avalon Catering. There will be live bands, a student run BBQ Booth, “Plant-a-Seed” and other children’s activities. We are proud to announce sponsorship from Whole Foods Market, Destiny Organics, Farmer D Organics and Atlanta’s Finest Dining Magazine.

The goal of the “Summer Harvest Market” is to increase awareness of sustainability, to support locally-owned businesses that use local resources and serve primarily local consumers, and to influence the next generation of chefs in their purchasing and food production practices.
