ArtFest, Farmer’s Market & Children Going Green in Alpharetta

Artists from throughout the U.S. are getting creative for the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest. This colorful festival will take place 10 am to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19, 2009 on Milton Avenue in the Alpharetta Historic District. Admission and parking are free to the public.

Earth Day and Eagle Eye Bookshop

Celebrate Earth Day with the editors of Environmental History of the American South.  Authors Paul Sutter and Christopher J. Manganiello will be speaking and signing at the Gwinnett Environmental Heritage Center in Buford on April 21 at 7:00 PM.”  An insightful collection of essays on the science and culture of Southern ecology

Earth Day Events at Imagine It!

100% Recycled, 100% Fun
Saturday, April 18 at 12 PM
Children celebrate Earth Day by learning how they can make a green impact! The Imaginators will read “The Wartville Wizard” by Don Madden which is about an old man who is given power over trash and orders litter to go back and stick to the person it came from. Children will decorate their very own totally green paper birdhouse out of 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
