Rain Barrel Workshop

Rain Barrel Workshop Saturday, Aug 22, 2009 10 AM to 12 PM

Celebrate World Water Week by building your own rain barrel at this fun, engaging workshop. In addition to learning important water conservation techniques, participants learn to build their own 55 gallon barrels, which are ready to collect rain by the end of the workshop. Please call to register.
Admission: $50 per rain barrel. Pre-registration is required.

Earth Day and Eagle Eye Bookshop

Celebrate Earth Day with the editors of Environmental History of the American South.  Authors Paul Sutter and Christopher J. Manganiello will be speaking and signing at the Gwinnett Environmental Heritage Center in Buford on April 21 at 7:00 PM.”  An insightful collection of essays on the science and culture of Southern ecology
The next day, Earth Day, they will be the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Central Branch–One Margaret Mitchell Plaza at 7:00 PM.
