Starting February 12, 2010, the State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program will provide Georgia residents with rebates ranging from $25 to $199 on ENERGY STAR rated appliances. ENERGY STAR appliances eligible for the program include clothes washers, dishwashers, air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, water heaters, refrigerators and freezers. The total amount available for rebates is $8.6 million. Purchases made prior to February 12, 2010, will not be eligible.

Solar energy projects in Georgia are receiving $4.5 million in rebate funds through
the Clean Energy Property Rebate Program. The program, which was launched earlier this year, is
funding 14 solar energy projects as a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and
House Bill 473. HB473 passed during the 2009 session of the Georgia General Assembly and the
legislation was signed by Governor Perdue in April.
