GoGreenGetRewards.com is a volunteer rewards program created to support environmental Non-Profits and reward social activism. Their website launch will be celebrated with an incredible Green Rewards Festival at Underground Atlanta from 12 Noon to 5pm on Saturday May 16th, 2009.  The festival features live music with Room 2 Groove, an eco-fashion show, free onsite electronic recycling and lots of green giveaways throughout the day. Children will enjoy creating crafts at our green kid zone while being captivated by the one and only Captain Planet.  Local organic restaurants will offer healthy, delicious food and green vendors will display their environmentally conscious products. The green event strives to leave no footprint on the environment while simultaneously educating the public about the importance of environmental awareness. Ride Marta, bring refillable bottles for your drinks, electronic items to recycle, dress in your recycled best for the fashion show, or just show up to get your green rewards and enjoy the music and activities.

The timing Go Green Get Rewards is right in step with supporting the Call To Serve initiative issued by the Obama Administration. “Our purpose is to recognize the millions of people who volunteer their time and respect the environment, not to receive rewards or recognition, but because it is the right thing to do” states founder Tammy Allen. “Those are the everyday heroes we want to reward.” Members of the rewards programs earn points for volunteering and redeem them for tangible goods provided by sponsors and product partners. The program is entirely free; there is no charge for Non-Profits, product partners or members to join.
